Curly Bow How To

This How To done by Becki

Step 1. Wet ribbons with starch, if you use vinegar the curls won't come out in the wash.. Use FABRIC ribbon not craft, floral, etc.

Step 2. Wrap around 1/4" inch wooden dowel, securing with wooden clothespins (not colored ones as the color will run onto your ribbon)

Step 3. Line the center rack of oven with foil. Lay dowels on foil but don't let clothespins touch element.

Step 4. Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes or until dry. (watch light colored ribbon so it doesn't turn brownish.)

Step 6. Then when cool, cut into 2 1/2 inch lengths and tie up the center. I just used safety pins to secure on dress to make it easy to remove for washing the dress.

Step 7. The more you use, the "fluffier" the bow. I made one for her hair also. I've also seen them used on socks.

Step 8. Sort your ribbons

Finished bow
